Members will remember Sarah’s most enjoyable demonstration of the techniques she uses to create her ceramic artworks, and now she is hosting a workshop to enable us to create our very own version of a ceramic bird.
Sarah will provide clay and bisque firing on our behalf, leaving us to raku fire our creations in a garden incinerator later if we wish! A list of implements to help us work the clay will be provided nearer to this event, and Sarah will be bring a selection of such items with her on the day.
The venue for this event is Inchmarlo Community Hall, which is located on the A93 just west of Banchory.
The event takes place between 10 am and 4 pm, and students should bring with them both hot and cold drinks, snacks and lunch, plastic coverings for the tables, and cash or a cheque made out to UDAS for £25 (£30 for non-members). Electronic payment is also possible, details available on the day.
Please take care when entering and leaving the car park at Inchmarlo Hall, as access is directly onto the A93. Parking spaces are limited, so please car share if this is possible; double parking is also permitted to make best use of the available spaces.
